FRIENDS: PLEASE DONATE YOUR OLD VALUABLES INSTEAD OF THRASHING THEM

Friends, How much of us really take out some time to serve the Poor and the Needy.

In today's busy Life, we really do not have time to involve in all such activities, so thought of reaching out all of you with some of NGO contacts.

NGO's like Goonj and Umang are doing a real good work by helping the Orphans to build up their future, to save them from walking on the darker side of the road of Crime and Drugs.

Your old stuff like Clothes, Shoes, Books, Utensils can be better used by the Poor rather than you throwing them away or stuffing in your cupboards

Here are some of the contacts, where you can visit online or personally to do your bit of Social Work and Donation

Andheri, Mumbai: A Commuter's Nightmare

Hello Guys,

After a Long time, thought of Blogging.

Decided to step in some social issues, one over here is expereinced by every Mumbaikar

Mumbai well-known as the "Fastest City", "A City that never Sleeps", "Mumbai bahut Fast hain" etc. etc. But, step at Andheri (E) during the peak hours and your thoughts will change, as you are bound to get Slow over here.

If you have a Job at Andheri and that too at MIDC, SEEPZ, Sakinaka location, then better start some Yoga classes to have a lot of Patience, as your bad time starts now, which does not require a Bejan Daruwalla to predict. Andheri boasts and flaunts as a Commercial Hub in the Western Suburbs of Mumbai. Actually its been divided as all the load of Commercial Players is taken by Andheri E, as it has the MIDC and STPI And Andheri (W) boasts the glamsham crowd of the big screen and television stars staying at Versova, the Andheri Sports Complex, etc.

Well, but my point is having so much potential in this place and lot of money churning every minute every second at almost all the places in Andheri, why is that the infrastructure of Andheri never given a thought?

Are the corporators sleeping? If, they are, then time to shake them, kick them and wake them up.

Almost 20,000 people commute daily to Andheri for getting in their respective offices. Almost half of the roads are digged up saying by the Reliance boards "WORK IN PROGRESS, INCONVENIENCE IS REGRETTED" Well, it must flash the message "INCONVENIENCE IN PROGRESS, WORK IS REGRETTED"

A person travelling from Andheri Station towards MIDC or SEEPZ takes almost 1 hour to reach the place, if he is lucky to get his vehicle out of the potholes, he will take a min of 45 mins, enjoying a roller-coaster ride.

And the stats during rains, goes more wild. This is not the state due to the Metro project, but this state is continuing from 2005 till date.

The focus here is so many years passed by, people turned older travelling and walking on the Andheri Roads, but the potholes and the construction has never been finished.

The bottle neck at the Gurudwara turn and Petrol Pump still exists from the 1990's era And God knows when is the road from Station to Chakala getting a facelift, as its the worst nightmare for the commutter. Neither can a person walk straight over there nor can a vehicle be driven straight over it.

Above all this, Reliance is making its dream Metro Project at a tortoise pace, which seems to never end

Anyways, the Aam Aadmi is now used to: waste his Sweat; stand in never-ending bus, auto queues; waste his time waiting for buses, getting an auto; waste his energy walking in the scorching heat

Doing all these activities, he looks at his clock, by removing a handkerchief from his pocket wiping the sweat as if wiping his Tears, and asking his neighbouring victim "Aaj Bahut Traffic hain naa.. Saala kya traffic hain... Khatam honey kaa naam hi nahin leta... Aur upar se yeh Metro, pata nahin kya bana rahe hain..."

Well, writing this article made to me sweat even if I am sitting in my AC office at Andheri, Seepz

Another very old Victim of Andheri,

Who Else,

Nik
